To further promote this initiative, Amazon committed $2 billion in 2020 to help companies develop products and innovations that support and sustain a low carbon economy. In 2019, Amazon launched one of their major CSR programs, The Climate Pledge, in partnership with Global Optimism, urging companies to achieve net-zero annual carbon emissions by 2040.
